Every great adventure starts with a spark of inspiration, and Pampered Roadie is no exception. Our story began on a sunny afternoon, during what should have been a joyful family road trip. Instead, we found ourselves constantly distracted by our beloved dog Chato’s discomfort and anxiety in the backseat.

As we watched him struggle to find a stable position, sliding with every turn and visibly stressed, we realized that this was more than just an inconvenience – it was a problem that needed solving.

That day, an idea was born. What if we could create a better solution, that would make car travel as
enjoyable for our furry friends as it is for us? What if we could transform those anxious whines
into happy tail wags?

The Road to Innovation
Driven by our love for dogs and a passion for enhancing the bond between pets and their
families, we embarked on a journey of research and development. We spoke with veterinarians,
and listened to the experiences of many other dog owners who shared our struggle.

Our mission became clear: to create a product that would not only provide comfort and security
for dogs during travel but also peace of mind for their owners. We wanted to address the root
causes of travel anxiety in dogs – the lack of stability, the unfamiliarity of the environment, and the separation from their usual safe spaces.

Through many prototypes and lots of testing, we finally found a solution to our travel anxieties – the Pampered Roadie Backseat Extender. But we quickly realized that our journey didn’t end with creating a product. We had stumbled upon a community of passionate dog owners, all eager to learn and share experiences about making life better for their canine
companions.
